I’m a mexican living in New York City. I was strolling around Chinatown the other day and I found this fruit and bought it, thinking that it was a Guanabana, a deliciously sweet mexican fruit. So, I was sadly surprised when, after carrying the fruit through manhattan (I swear, it was heavier than a lead ball), I cracked it open and, voila, mashed up chicken? moldy cheese? an alien egg? the worlds smelliest fruit? a mix of all four? How are you supposed to eat this thing???

gary and i and some friends went to lunch one day and had a whole conversation about how bad durian smells. my friend nixon even told me a story about how once his building got evacuated because of a “gas leak.” turned out it was just his co-worker who brought in durian! lol
