A nine-year-old girl whose parents named her Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii was put into court guardianship in New Zealand so that her name could be changed. I’m not sure how I feel about this. Why would you name your child this!? Though I think it is stupid to name your this or “Number 16 Bus Shelter”, but I do not believe the courts should be involved in changing ones name. Social networking sites have come and gone over the years… Do you remember AsianAvenue and Xanga? Friendsters’ popularity has seemed to be dwindling and people are jumping ship to Facebook. What’s common about all these sites is that its a breeding ground for internet stalkers that must Google everything about you or the e-Gansta’s that type in jibberish acting all tough. I support social networking sites for communication tools but this unhealthy infatuation of people (mostly girls) you don’t know must stop!
