Nike Free 7.0 x Transformers Megatron & Convoy

More than meets the shoe… With only 2 more months for the release of Transformers the movie, we are starting to see various licensed memorabilia coming out. Nike has gone all out with this crazy mash-up. They have used the form of the Nike Free 7.0 and mashed them up with Megatron and Convoy to create a pair of transforming sneakers. Megatron and Convoy are also sporting a slick set of Free 7.0s as well. They have been released in Japan and will retail for 2,625 Yen. Can’t wait to see more Transformer gear in the next few weeks.

Keyport - World’s 1st Universal Key FOB
It’s been a few days since I last posted. I needed to take some “me” time to settle into a new job, also been suffering from Canuck Fever, and trying to collect stamps for the Tourism Challenge (Post coming…).
Any product that can simplify my life always catches my attention. I currently have a set of keys for my house, my car, my office, etc. Why not combine them onto one keychain you may wonder? That would mean I would have to carry around one of those old prison cell key rings, and thats’ not very fashionable… maybe I can start a new trend?
Keyport is going to try to solve this problem with the World’s 1st Universal Key FOB ($TBA) which comes with special key templates to have your car, home, or office keys cut and slid into the Key FOB. This FOB also will have a RFID, Alarm remote, and mini LED flashlight. It’s the Swiss Army knife of key chains. I’m gong to keep my eye out for these when they come out. Stay tuned for a future review.

When Customer Service actually is Customer Service…
Someone forwarded me this link to Saska’s blog today. She had a nice little story about her Customer Service experience at Nintendo of America. There isn’t very many companies out there that offer satisfying Customer Service. You always feel like you either been ripped off, wasted your life on hold, or just plain forgotten. Nintendo seems to have the art of Customer Service down as I can vouch for Nintendo Canada. I had a crack in my Nintendo DS Lite hinge which came out of nowhere. I am always careful with my things, and have never dropped my DS. I did a quick search on-line and found out that there was a batch of them that were defective. Last Monday, I happen to be in Richmond, where Nintendo Canada, so I decided to stop by to see if I could send it away for repairs. I spoke to the cheerful receptionist who got a service person to take a look at my DS. One quick glance… “oh we can swap that right out for you, just one sec.” She went to the back and grabbed a new unit for me! Handed me a invoice for $0.00 and told me I had 1 year warranty starting that day. That is what I call service! I hate companies that make you jump through all sorts of hoops.
